Frequently asked

How is T-Score calculated?+
It normalizes offense, rotation, bullpen, team pitching and results within the league and combines them into a 0–100 index. Weights are proprietary; the pillar grades appear on each team page.
Why can a team with a better record rank lower?+
T-Score measures how a team has played, not only what the scoreboard says. Close-game results move a record more than they move the underlying components.
Does T-Score include defense?+
Only indirectly, through team pitching results. There is no standalone fielding pillar because publicly available defensive metrics are too noisy at this sample size.
How often is it recalculated?+
After new completed games are incorporated into PitcherStat. Last recalculated Oct 21, 2:35 PM ET.
