He brings a much higher strikeout profile at 11.05 K/9, along with 2.05 BB/9 and 0.59 HR/9. His last three starts were 6.0 IP, 3 ER, 8 K, 2 BB; 6.0 IP, 0 ER, 9 K, 0 BB; and 6.0 IP, 3 ER, 11 K, 1 BB. Teams — Arizona has a .712 OPS, 552 runs, a .243 average, and a pitching staff with a 4.12 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. The Diamondbacks are 5-5 over their last 10, which fits a profile of a fairly balanced club but one that is not matching Atlanta’s overall efficiency. Atlanta owns a .734 OPS, 591 runs, and a .249 average, while its staff has posted a 3.60 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. The Braves are 7-3 in their last 10 and bring the stronger combination of lineup production and team run prevention into this matchup. From a betting matchup standpoint, Atlanta has the better season-long team indicators, while Arizona counters with a starter who has been in outstanding recent form.
