◆ Lineup notes

Toronto has a fair amount of history against Luis Castillo, led by Andrés Giménez at 4-for-19 in 21 PA with a .659 OPS and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at 4-for-15 in 18 PA with a .789 OPS. Alejandro Kirk has had the most success in a small sample, going 3-for-5 with a 1.800 OPS, while Nathan Lukes is 1-for-4 in 5 PA with a 1.200 OPS. Daulton Varsho has been limited to 1-for-12 in 13 PA with a .321 OPS, and Ernie Clement is 1-for-5 with a .400 OPS. Kazuma Okamoto, Yohendrick Piñango, and Sean Keys have no MLB history vs Castillo.

Seattle also brings several hitters with prior looks at Dylan Cease, with Josh Naylor owning the largest sample at 7-for-25 with a .640 OPS and Randy Arozarena going 3-for-12 in 13 PA with a 1.058 OPS. Luke Raley is 1-for-2 with a 1.500 OPS, while J.P. Crawford is 1-for-5 with a .400 OPS. Dominic Canzone is hitless in 2 AB, per his 0-for-2 summary, with a .000 OPS; Cal Raleigh is hitless in 2 AB over 3 PA, per his 0-for-2 in 3 PA summary, with a .333 OPS; and Cole Young has 2 PA with one walk against Cease. Victor Robles and Colt Emerson have no MLB history vs Cease.

Toronto appears to have the deeper bank of familiarity against the opposing starter, with more hitters carrying double-digit at-bat samples versus Castillo. Seattle has some experience against Cease too, but fewer established matchups beyond Naylor and Arozarena.
